History and storytelling

This activity came at the end of the entire unit about the History of BC and the Gold Rush.

I’ve noticed that the students love when you tell them about History, especially in the form of storytelling. This has to do with the way human being learn, which is with experience, emotions, and stories. It facilitates memory and engages the learner.

So, I created PowerPoint presentations, and I introduce the Canadian History in the form of storytelling. I integrate small inquisitive activities along the unit, and poke some fun along the way. It’s been very successful in the class!
