Description :

Wassily Kandinsky’s shape make music

I’ve been fortunate to study Kandinsky’s work in university, and have been amazed by his theory of shapes, colours and their connections with music.

As I teach music to my students, I’ve came to the idea of create visual arts with music and technology. I’ve taught the students about W. Kandinsky’s big ideas, and had them start exploring his style and create their own draft and production, using their knowledge of 2D shapes studied in Math at the same time.

After learning about music keys and rythme for months ahead of this, the students were able to create their own music pieces, using the Internet software Song Maker on Music Lab. We placed the tunes on a platform and created QR codes, displayed on each production, so they could make music.
